A Blarggwich[1], originally known as a Support Ghost[2], is an undead species of Blargg that first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
History[edit]Yoshi's Island series[edit]Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3[edit]They are rare, only appearing in Sluggy The Unshaven's Fort in their debut game. Yoshi can jump onto and freely move around atop the Flatbed Ferries carried on its head. Once stepped on, it moves along a set course, occasionally stopping and stretching upward, leading Yoshi to both traps and helpful items. A similar creature known as Roger Lift appears earlier in Salvo The Slime's Castle, which is a water spirit that is thinner, lacks eyebrows, has smaller eyes, and moves in a gentle loop in a big room. Yoshi's New Island[edit]Blarggwiches reappear in Yoshi's New Island under their current name. One is featured as the main gimmick of the third world's special level, Ride the Blarggwich. Another variation between two long, yellow Flatbed Ferries also appears. When the player ground pounds on one, the Blarggwich will turn red with angry, yellow eyes and stretch. While most of these are stationary, some of them between two red Flatbed Ferries are found on a track. Super Smash Bros. series[edit]They return in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where they appear in the Yoshi's Island stage. Roger the Potted Ghost[1] is a boss character from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and is located in The Potted Ghost's Castle, the castle of World 2. Roger starts out as a lifeless pot, but is transformed by Kamek's magic into a large ghost when the player enters the boss room. He is the only inanimate object that Kamek transforms into a boss. His face is the same as those of Dangling Ghosts and Caged Ghosts, and like them, he is amorphous. To defeat him, Blue Yoshi has to push Roger and his pot over the right edge of the platform in the same manner as pushing a regular pot. This process is complicated by two green Shy Guys that slowly push Roger in the opposite direction. Throughout the battle, Roger can lunge at Blue Yoshi, knocking him away. He also breathes blue flames which home in, forcing the blue dinosaur to stop pushing and get out of the way to avoid taking a hit. When Roger is pushed far enough, the Shy Guys topple over the edge and do not return, allowing Blue Yoshi to push him the final distance without facing resistance from them. Yoshi's New Island is a platform game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is a midquel between Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS, and it uses a similar art style for the game.
