Variant ofToady

Solo Toadies,[1] or Green Toadies,[2] are Toadies that travel singularly in the game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, its remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and Yoshi's New Island. Unlike Kamek's red-cloaked Toadies, they are green or dark pink, and their feet are always visible, unlike the red Toady sprites. Green Toadies can be found floating around in a select few levels, and when encountered by a Yoshi, they will try to snatch away Baby Mario. The dark pink Solo Toadies are moderately uncommon, first appearing in The Baseball Boys, and only appear after Baby Mario has been knocked off Yoshi, at which point the Solo Toady appears and attempts to hold the baby out of reach of the Yoshi. Neither type of Toady will fully kidnap Baby Mario, but they will try to separate him from Yoshi long enough for Kamek's group of Toadies to take him away.

Green Toadies reappear in Yoshi Touch & Go. Here, instead of trying to snatch Baby Mario, they attempt to defeat Yoshi. Solo Toadies themselves attempt to protect Kamek's group of Toadies from Yoshi's Eggs. They are purple instead of dark pink.

In Yoshi's New Island, they wear purple just like their past appearance, and as in the same case of normal Toadies, their skin is yellow, and they are barefoot. Green Toadies themselves are absent, however.

The story was a follow up to Yoshi's Island, though not a direct sequel, and not nearly as well received.

Yoshi's Island World 6-7

Yoshi's Story is a side-scrolling platform game that involves controlling one of six young Yoshis as they explore their home island in two play modes: Story and Trial. In addition to the unusual visual style, designed to replicate a picture book, what sets this game apart from similar platform titles is the lack of a specific 'end' to reach on. Stream Yoshi's Island by Marz & Neobyte and tens of millions of other songs on all your devices with Amazon Music Unlimited. Exclusive discount for Prime members. Oct 04, 1995  b) Head to the Yoshi Block as a helicopter at the end of this part of the stage. Avoid the Goonies and Green Piranas, and hit the Yoshi Block. The baby will transport where you are, and you will transform back into Yoshi.
