Yoshi's Island 5-1 Red Coins

A message box will tell you to make eggs and break the dirt. Do so and make sure you grab the coins with your eggs on top of the pipe. There are 4 RED COINS here. If you earned perfect scores of 100 in every stage, Extra Stage 2 and Bonus Challenge 2 will become available to you! Regardless of score, you'll be treated to a cutscene on Yoshi's Island from the title screen and see Yoshi conquer the castle at World 2 before you're taken to the World 3 map screen. Red Coins are found in multiple Mario games, generally serving the same purpose. They are found in sets of eight in almost all cases, the collection of which grants the player a reward, varying by game. Perhaps the most well-known example is Super Mario 64, where a Power Star is the reward; in. Apr 23, 2012 In this episode, we revisit the Extra Stage of World 3 for an interesting little tidbit. <<List of worlds>>

World 5 is the final world in Yoshi's Island DS, before Bowser's Castle. It takes place on a wild gloomy island high above Yoshi's Island. As with all worlds in the game, it contains eight normal levels and two secret levels, one unlocked for beating the game and another for getting 800 points in the world:

The boss at the end of world 5-4 is Moltz the Very Goonie. In the final level, world 5-8, Baby Wario and Baby Bowser rejoin the group as they head into Bowser's Castle. However, at the end, Baby Bowser betrays Yoshi and fights the player, but is defeated. After that, Bowser, in his normal form, shows up and attacks as well. After he is defeated, Kamek uses his magic to enlarge him, much like he did to Baby Bowser in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In this final battle, the enormous Bowser is in the distance and the player controls four Yoshis at once, carrying Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Baby Donkey Kong, and Baby Wario and must throw giant eggs at Bowser to defeat him. This is also much as the final boss of the original Yoshi's Island.

History[edit]

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3[edit]

Magnifying Glasses first appear as a Special Item in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake

Magnifying Glasses can be found in any of the Bonus Challenge games and when used, its effects continue until Yoshi either loses a life or reaches the end of a level. The Magnifying Glass detects Red Coins that are disguised as Gold Coins and turns them red and visible to the Yoshi so he may more easily collect all twenty Red Coins in the level. The Magnifying Glass will also reveal Winged Clouds that are otherwise invisible, except Winged Clouds that are only revealed by rolling a Chomp Rock or Snowball over their location.

Paper Mario series[edit]

Paper Mario: Sticker Star[edit]

In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the Magnifying Glass is a thing first found in the Sandshifter Ruins. It can also be bought from the Shady Toad in Decalburg. In battle, the Magnifying Glass intensifies the sun's rays on enemies, causing burn damage.

Paper Mario: Color Splash[edit]

The Magnifying Glass Thing returns as a card in Paper Mario: Color Splash. It can be found in the Tangerino Grill's freezer or bought from the Wringer in Port Prisma for 200 coins. In battle, rather than burning enemies with the sun's rays, it instead enlarges Mario so he can trample enemies.
